Activity: historical exhibition Parade.

Overview: Costa Rica received its independence from Spain on September 15, 1821. Before it was independent, Costa Rica was Spanish territory, and Guatemala was a center of regional government. In the month of September of 1821, Guatemala declared its independence from Spain, simultaneously declaring independence of Costa Rica also. Overview: The cultivation of pejibaye is originating of Tucurrique, where currently there are 400 thousand kilos in 200 hectares partly cultivated the pejibaye is used for the preparation of meal and by-products such as creams, pantries, salad dressings, frozen breaded and drinks between other. l main objective of the Fair is to promote the consumption of the pejibaye, their derivatives and rescue values and traditions of the culture around the pejibaye. This activity brings together approximately 150 exhibitors and comes to trigger for the benefit and economic development for the area, as it supports producers (ACE) agricultural, that offer fresh and processed product, artisans that work both in pejibaye wood as material for recycling and, in general, the local trade.
